After 23 years, fans will witness the sweet chemistry of Mahesh Babu and Sonali Bendre on the big screen as the actors’ film Murari is all set to re-release. Marking the occasion of the Telugu superstar’s birthday on August 9, fans of the actor will be in for a treat as they will get to see their star in action. This news also seems to have taken social media by storm as fans cannot stop sharing excitement on the platform.

In order to showcase their surprise and happiness over this decision of the film’s re-release, social media users took to the platform X, aka Twitter to share many posts related to the film. “Our festive day just got even more special with this festive movie from superstar @urstrulymahesh,” said one of the fans who posted a gif video of the actor dancing. Another fan seems to have started a countdown and wrote, “20 Days To Go @urstrulyMahesh”. Fanclubs too posted their excitement and added, “Bringing back the heartwarming days with the evergreen classic #Murari on the big screens! About Murari

 

The film is a supernatural action-family drama featuring Mahesh Babu in a massy avatar with Sonali Bendre as his leading lady. The film also stars Lakshmi, Sukumari, Kaikala Satyanarayana, Gollapudi Maruthi Rao, Raghu Babu, among others in key roles and revolves around a curse in the family. An incident that happened decades ago leads to a Zamindar’s family losing its heir every forty-eight years. At the beginning of another such cycle, when Murari's life is at stake, his grandmother makes a huge sacrifice to revoke the curse. The film released in theatres on February 17, 2001.
