Hombale Films’ Kantara: Chapter 1 has finally arrived in theatres and is already setting the box office abuzz. The film, which marks the next chapter in the much-loved Kantara universe, has received glowing reviews from both audiences and critics. Amid the nationwide frenzy, singer and actor Diljit Dosanjh, made a reference to his connection with the Pan-Indian South drama, since he lent his voice to the electrifying track ‘Rebel’ in the film and took to social media to share his enthusiasm.

The Punjabi superstar posted behind-the-scenes pictures from the making of the song and couldn’t contain his excitement to watch the film on the big screen. The post instantly went viral, with fans flooding the comments section, praising both his contribution to the film and the grandeur of the project itself.

 

 

Kantara: Chapter 1 is being celebrated as one of Hombale Films’ most ambitious ventures. Directed by and starring Rishab Shetty, the film brings together a stellar team, including music director B. Ajaneesh Loknath, cinematographer Arvind Kashyap, and production designer Vinesh Banglan. Also starring Rukmini Vasanth, Gulshan Devaiah, Jayaram, among others, the film delves deeper into the origins of the mythological tradition and ancestral conflict introduced in the first film.

 

Released on October 2, Kantara: Chapter 1 has been rolled out in multiple languages — Kannada, Hindi, Telugu, Malayalam, Tamil, Bengali, and English — allowing audiences across regions to connect with its rich storytelling while it remains deeply rooted in local culture.
