Chiranjeevi, Mahesh Babu donate Rs. 1 crore to victims of flood affected areas of Andhra Pradesh and Telangana

After the Wayanad floods, which impacted the people living in the state of Kerala, several areas of Andhra Pradesh and Telangana are reeling in the aftermath of a similar disaster. While the government is working on providing relief to the victims, Telugu superstars like Chiranjeevi and Mahesh Babu have also extended their help and have shared about the same on social media. Earlier this week, Devara actor Jr NTR too donated a lumpsum to help the survivors.

Chiranjeevi took to the social media platform X, aka Twitter, to share that he is donating a sum of Rs. 50 lakhs each to the flood relief fund of both the states, Andhra Pradesh and Telangana, in order to help the victims and survivors. Sharing the news, he said, “As part of this process, I am announcing my contribution of one crore rupees (50 lakhs each to Andhra Pradesh and Telangana CM Relief Fund) to help the relief of the people in the two states.”

 

Along with that, the megastar also penned a note expressing his grief over the disaster and said, “The hardships caused to the people due to the effect of flood in the Telugu states make me sad. The loss of tens of innocent lives is very tragic. Under the direction of the Chief Ministers of the Telugu states, both the governments are working hard to improve the situation. We all need to be involved in relief efforts in some way.” He concluded the note saying, “I pray to God that these dire situations will end soon and that all the people will be safe.”

 

 

Meanwhile, Mahesh Babu too donated the same amount to Andhra Pradesh and Telangana and he too added, “In light of the floods impacting both the Telugu states, I am pledging a donation of 50 lakhs each to the CM Relief Fund for both AP and Telangana. Let’s collectively support the measures being undertaken by the respective governments to provide immediate aid and facilitate the recovery process for the flood-affected regions. I urge everyone to contribute to this cause. May we rise above this crisis and emerge stronger.”

 

 

On the work front, while Chiranjeevi is gearing up to return to the fantasy genre with Vishwambhara as fans are eager to see him reprise the action-packed avatar of a warrior, Mahesh Babu is working on his most-anticipated Pan-India film with filmmaker SS Rajamouli.
