In a behind-the-scenes video shared by the makers of SS Rajamouli’s highly anticipated film, Varanasi, fans witnessed the sheer scale and spectacle that went into the film’s launch event.
The highlight, unsurprisingly, was Mahesh Babu’s iconic entry atop a mechanical bull, a video that has since become a talking point across social media. In the video, Babu appears in his powerful avatar as Rudhra, wielding a trident while mounted on the charging bull, drawing heavily on mythic symbolism and evoking an aura of mythological grandeur.
But the backstage footage also shows the immense pressure behind the glitz. The footage behind the making of the bull and what went behind Mahesh Babu’s grand entry. SS Rajamouli and the team meticulously coordinate lighting, set design, and sound, all in preparation for the grand on-stage moments.
With over 50,000 fans in attendance, the celebration with The Grand Globe Trotter Event at Ramoji Film City on November 15 became one of the largest live fan gatherings in Indian entertainment, showcasing a never-seen-before spectacle created exclusively for a film announcement.
