From Kim Soo Hyun – Kim Ji Won starrer Queen of Tears to Cha Eun Woo & Im Se Mi-led Wonderful World – 8 K-dramas set to premiere in March 2024

Two months of 2024 seem to have flown by so quickly, don’t you think? We saw amazing dramas like Welcome to Samdalri come to a conclusion and stunning ones like Flex X Cop grace our screens and continue to entertain. With the onset of a new month, there are fresh new stories from the K-dramaland for the fans of romance, fantasy and makjang genres! The month of March brings with it an end to the highly anticipated return of Kim Soo Hyun. He will be leading in Queen of Tears opposite Kim Ji Won. The drama is touted to be a rom-com with a huge dose of humour. Next, we have Cha Eun Woo who dons a serious avatar in Wonderful World. Then we also have Chicken Nugget, where a girl turns into a chicken nugget. Strange, isn’t it? Let’s take a look at the K-dramas releasing in March 2024.

 

From Kim Soo Hyun – Kim Ji Won starrer Queen of Tears to Cha Eun Woo & Im Se Mi-led Wonderful World – 8 K-dramas set to premiere in March 2024

 

1. WONDERFUL WORLD

 

Cha Eun Woo stars as the son of a psychology professor Eun Soo Hyun in Wonderful World. His abrupt death thrusts Soo Hyun [Im Se Mi] into a world of corruption where culprits roam scot-free. She takes matters into her own hands to get her son and others the justice they truly deserve. Wonderful World premieres on March 1, 2024, on MBC and Disney+ Hotstar.

 


 

2. QUEEN OF TEARS

 

Since the day this drama was announced, the anticipation amongst the fans has only risen with each passing day. Kim Soo Hyun is making a much-awaited comeback with the K-drama Queen of Tears and March 2024 could not get any better. He plays Baek Hyun Woo, a man of humble origins who gets married to Hong Hae In (played by Kim Ji Won). She is quite arrogant and haughty, whereas he is quite the people pleaser. Queen of Tears is going to be one amazing ride seeing these two powerhouse actors collaborate on screen for the very first time. Queen of Tears is scheduled to release on March 16 on TvN as well as Netflix.

 


 

3. GRABBED BY THE COLLAR

 

Kim Ha Neul plays Seo Jung Won, a popular journalist and host of the show Let’s Get Grabbed by the Collar in the K-drama Grabbed by the Collar. Her seemingly perfect life is turned topsy turvy when she finds out her husband was having an affair. The mistress is dead and Jung Won is the prime suspect. She enlists the help of a detective to get to the root of the case. Grabbed by the Collar is set to premiere on March 4 on KBS2.

 

4. MIDNIGHT PHOTO STUDIO

 

Joo Won stars as Seo Ki Joo, a photographer who runs a photo studio for the ghosts in Midnight Photo Studio. His colleagues Go and Baek Nam Soo help him with the chores around the photo studio. Enter Kwon Nara as Han Bom, a lawyer with zero tolerance for injustice. As she visits the studio, she finds out the stories about these ghosts too. Midnight Photo Studio is slated to premiere on March 13 on ENA.

 

5. CHICKEN NUGGET

 

Kim Nam Hee stars as Choi Min Ah, a young girl who mysteriously turns into a chicken nugget following some mysterious event in the drama Chicken Nugget. Her father Choi Seon Man (played by Ryu Seung Ryong) and an intern Go Baek Jung (played by Ahn Jae Hong) are now responsible for taking care of her and bring her back to her human form. Chicken Nugget will air from March 15 on Netflix.

 

6. THE ESCAPE OF THE SEVEN SEASON 2

 

Did not get enough of ‘The Seven’ last time? Well, they have now returned to bring in the dash of spice and chaos missing on your screens. The seven people return and face the consequences of their actions as we saw them in the previous season. The Escape of the Seven Season 2 will premiere on March 23 on SBS.

 

7. HIDE

 

Lee Bo Young stars as Na Moon Young in Hide. Her husband suddenly disappears one day and the drama follows Moon Young as she searches for him. But her neighbours might hold key information to her husband’s disappearance. Hide premieres on March 23 on Coupang Play.

 


 


 

8. BEAUTY AND THE DEVOTED

 

Im Soo Hyang plays Do Ra, once a top actress who fell from the ranks overnight and Ji Hyun Woo plays Go Pil Sung, a television producer who has been her support since day one in Beauty and the Devoted. Pil Sung loves her already and Do Ra eventually warms up to him. The two come together to reveal the truth about Do Ra to the public. Beauty and the Devoted is set to premiere on March 23 on KBS2.
