Zoya Akhtar calls Suhana Khan a ‘little firebrand’, says The Archies star is ‘talented’

Suhana Khan, daughter of Shah Rukh Khan, is all set to make her Bollywood debut with Zoya Akhtar’s The Archies along with several new faces. The young star is touted to be one of the debutantes to watch out for, this year. Zoya Akhtar says that Suhana is a firebrand.

During a conversation with Pinkvilla, Zoya was asked if Suhana would be able to make a place for herself in the audience’s hearts. She replied, “She’s such a little firebrand and she’s so talented. I don’t think she’ll have much problem.” She also revealed Suhana’s hidden talent which is that sings very well. Suhana also goes by the nickname ‘Su’.

 

During Bollywood Hungama OTT India Fest 2023, Suhana described her skating sequences in the film and the song ‘Sunoh’, often looking effortless on screen, as challenging, saying, “We started training 5 or 6 months before we actually started filming. I know you said it looks very breezy in the song, but I'm lucky you didn't see us fall and bump into each other, that was far from effortless. But yeah, it was a lot of fun. I loved every moment of it, even all the falling.” She added with a laugh, “I fell a lot, but I didn’t hurt myself luckily.”

 

The Archies, directed by Zoya Akhtar, is produced by Tiger Baby Productions. The film is inspired by the comic series by the same name, and it is slated for a digital release on Netflix on December 7, 2023.
