We all know that Alia Bhatt and Varun Dhawan are currently shooting for their romantic comedy, Badrinath Ki Dulhania. Recently, the duo visited the city of Gorakhpur to inaugurate Indian Gramin Cricket League (IGCL).Watch: Varun Dhawan's inspiring speech to youth in Gorakhpur

 

Varun Dhawan and Alia Bhatt came together for this initiative to get locals excited about cricket. They received a warm welcome from the people. Alia shared a photo with Varun and wrote, “Today in Gorakhpur a lovely initiative called IGCL great to see the youth so charged and passionate about cricket all over. #badrinathkidulhania.” Varun also shared the same photo with a caption that read, "Amazing day with the people in Gorakhpur. #igcl is an amazing initiative.#badrinathkidulhania."

 

Varun Dhawan and Alia Bhatt donned casual looks for the event. Varun also shared a video where the people were extremely excited to participate in the initiative. He wrote, "Got the opportunity to spend some time in Gorakhpur. We met a lot of talented kids. Had a lot of fun at the #igcl match. The league encourages kids to play sports rather than take up a life of crime."

 

Badrinath Ki Dulhania is helmed by Shashank Khaitan and is scheduled to release on March 10, 2017.
