Govinda Naam Mera premiered on Disney+Hotstar a day ago and the unconventional roles of Vicky Kaushal, Kiara Advani, and Bhumi Pednekar seems to have won hearts. Interestingly, taking forward their association further, Vicky will soon be collaborating with Karan Johar and Dharma Productions yet again on another venture. And once again, we will get to see the quirky side of Kaushal in the untitled venture that also stars Triptii Dimri and Ammy Virk.  And the excitement is definitely high considering the love that Govinda Waghmare received.

It is a known fact that in the past, Vicky Kaushal and Karan Johar collaborated on some interesting projects. In Raazi, even though it was highly dominated by the powerful role of Alia Bhatt, the film featured Vicky Kaushal in a grey-shaded role. He took a step ahead and played the role of a quintessential Indian husband in the Dharma anthology Lust Stories, in which he essayed the character of Kiara’s husband.

 

And very recently, yet another collaboration of the Karan-Vicky duo premiered. Govinda Naam Mera featured the Masaan actor in a role that takes him out of his comfort zone as the characters navigate through a complicated web called life. However, these desperate and hopeless circumstances of our characters are not meant to make you teary-eyed but are intended to tickle your funny bone. Exploring multiple genres from comedy to thriller, the film manages to include all of Bollywood's commercial ingredients necessary in one package. So it doesn’t come as a surprise that many are eager to catch a glimpse of the next collaboration Vicky will be having with head honcho Karan Johar.

 

Not too long ago, we reported that Vicky Kaushal will be seen as the lead along with Qala actress Triptii Dimri and Punjabi actor-singer Ammy Virk playing pivotal roles in this untitled venture. Interestingly, the film will also be the debut theatrical venture of the streaming platform Amazon Prime Video, which will be co-producing it, with Dharma Productions. Produced by Hiroo Yash Johar, Karan Johar, Apoorva Mehta, Amritpal Singh Bindra’s Leo Media Collective, and Anand Tiwari, the film is slated to hit the big screens on July 28, 2023.
