Sonu Sood starts this special initiative of skin donation and here are the details

 

Known for philanthropic work, Sonu Sood has contributed to the society in his own way. In fact, amidst several social causes for which he has extended his support, yet another added to the list is skin donation. The actor has decided to start skin donation campaign for acid attack survivors in association with an NGO founded by Kulsum Shadab based in Bengaluru called Hothur Foundation.Sonu Sood starts this special initiative of skin donation and here are the details

 

Going further, Sonu Sood also wants to create awareness for skin donation since not many are aware skin too can be donated like eyes and kidneys. Last year, Sonu even attended a workshop held in association with Indian School of Design and Innovation (ISDI) and Hothur Foundation and helped them create awareness of skin banking for acid attack survivors.

 

Continuing his association with the noble cause, the generous actor has decided to take time out from his busy schedule and travel to different cities creating awareness of skin banking. Talking about this initiative, Sonu Sood said, “The skin donation campaign organized by Hothur Foundation, aims at raising awareness and extending support to acid attack survivors who are in dire need of skin to lead a regular independent life. We are planning to have more skin donation banks across India. We are targeting few cities in the country first”

 

“I have met and will continue to meet dermatologists to know how skin grafting works and how they preserve skin. I want to study it in depth to be able impart awareness to people,” the actor added.
