Shilpa Shetty recalls being body shamed for putting on weight during her pregnancy

Shilpa Shetty is undoubtedly one of the fittest actresses in Bollywood and is known for her love for Yoga and fitness in general. However, her journey to being this fit required a lot of hard work and dedication. Recalling her pregnancy during an interview with another portal, Shilpa Shetty revealed that she had gained 32 kilos. She had expected to gain around 15 kilos, but somehow, she gained twice as much and another 2 kilos after delivering Viaan.

She remembers the first time she went out for dinner with Raj Kundra after Viaan was born, a kitty of sitting in the restaurant body shamed her. She could see them smirking and hear them pass comments on her body. Her mother being the straight forward woman asked her when she was planning to lose the weight and get back in shape? Even though she had not planned to get pregnant at the age of 37, Shilpa revealed that if she had med Raj earlier, she wouldn’t have had to wait for so long.

 

The couple recently welcomed a daughter, Samisha, through surrogacy.
