Sara Ali Khan on her future projects: "I want to be able to make a period film or an intense drama film"

Sara Ali Khan is certainly one of the most versatile actors of her generation. Be it films like Murder Mubarak, where she played an urban glamorous character like Bambi, to an Indian-rooted real-life unsung hero like Usha from 1942 in Ae Watan Mere Watan, Sara has nailed both the diametrically opposite characters with great aplomb.

While Sara has showcased remarkable versatility in her choice of films and roles, from romantic comedies to intense dramas, she mentioned in one of her recent interviews about the type of character or genre she hopes to explore next in her career.

 

Sara said, "It’s not about which genre I want to do next. There are so many things I want to do. I want to be able to make a period film or a sound, intense drama film, maybe like A Marriage Story in the Indian context. I love the comedy space that I did in Zara Hatke Zara Bachke. I was also pleasantly surprised to play a character like Bambi. So, I look at it as something other than a genre or character I want to do next, just as long as I get to hone my craft."

 

Sara was hugely appreciated by the audience, industry and critics alike for her stupendous performances in two different genres films including Murder Mubarak and Ae Watan Mere Watan.

 

Sara will be next seen in Anurag Basu's highly anticipated multi starrer Metro In Dino.
