Sameer Nair opens up on the fourth season of Criminal Justice: “This is just the beginning”

The fourth season of Applause Entertainment’s acclaimed courtroom drama series Criminal Justice, starring Pankaj Tripathi, Mohammed Zeeshan Ayyub, Surveen Chawla, Mita Vashisht, Asha Negi, Shweta Basu Prasad, and Khushboo Atre, will premiere on JioHotstar from May 22, 2025.

Titled A Family Matter, the new season is directed by Rohan Sippy and produced by Applause Entertainment in association with BBC Studios. The immensely popular web series is an Indian adaptation of the successful BBC Studios drama format of the same name.

 

Since its debut, Criminal Justice has built a loyal following. Emerging as the breakout show of 2019, its first instalment garnered multiple awards across various categories including Best Drama Series, Ensemble Cast, and technical accolades.

 

Sameer Nair, the dynamic CEO of Applause Entertainment, shared his excitement, “We are thrilled to create the next chapter in this successful franchise.” Under Nair’s visionary leadership, Applause Entertainment has rapidly expanded its footprint. The studio has developed official Indian adaptations of hit international shows such as The Office, Criminal Justice, Hostages, and Your Honor.
