Salman Khan to balance Bigg Boss 20 hosting duties with upcoming Vamsi Paidipally action film
Salman Khan is set to return as host of Bigg Boss 20, with the new season scheduled to premiere on September 21, according to a report by Variety India. Before stepping onto the reality show’s set, the actor plans to wrap a major portion of his upcoming untitled action thriller, directed by Vamsi Paidipally and co-starring Nayanthara.
The report added that Khan’s team is closely managing his schedule to ensure the film’s shoot proceeds without delays while still leaving him enough time for the show.
Casting for the new season underway
Bigg Boss remains one of Indian television’s most watched reality shows, with much of its draw tied to Khan’s presence as host. The 19th season drew attention through contestants such as Gaurav Khanna, Farrhana Bhatt, Amaal Mallik, Tanya Mittal, and Baseer Ali, and the makers are now working on a bigger format for the milestone 20th season.
Auditions and shortlisting have begun, with the casting team reaching out to familiar television names as well as personalities from reality shows and digital platforms, as the makers look to draw in younger audiences. There is also speculation that some past contestants could return, though the format and twists for this season remain under wraps until closer to the premiere.
