“Priyanka Chopra is unstoppable and always surprises,” says SS Rajamouli as he gives shoutout to The Bluff
Priyanka Chopra is steadily building anticipation for her upcoming film The Bluff, and the buzz around the project intensified after filmmaker SS Rajamouli publicly praised her performance. The director, who is also collaborating with Priyanka on his much-anticipated film Varanasi, shared his appreciation on social media, calling her presence in The Bluff commanding and impactful.
Taking to X (formerly Twitter), Rajamouli wrote, “Priyanka is unstoppable and always surprises… What a commanding presence and fiery performance. Looking forward to #TheBluff.” He shared the same message on Instagram as well. Responding to the post, Priyanka expressed her gratitude, writing, “Thank you for your kind words sir,” accompanied by folded hands and red heart emojis.
The praise comes at a time when Priyanka is juggling major international and Indian projects. Rajamouli’s Varanasi, which stars Mahesh Babu and Prithviraj Sukumaran alongside Priyanka, is expected to release during Sankranti 2027. In the film, Priyanka will be seen as Mandakini, while Mahesh Babu essays the role of Rudhra and Prithviraj Sukumaran plays Kumbha.
Meanwhile, The Bluff marks another significant outing for Priyanka on the global stage. Set in the 19th-century Caribbean, the film revolves around a former female pirate whose past comes back to haunt her, placing a bounty on her head. Karl Urban plays a feared pirate who leads the pursuit against her. The project is produced by AGBO Studios and backed by Amazon MGM Studios, continuing Priyanka’s collaboration with the studio after Citadel.
The Bluff is scheduled to premiere on Prime Video on February 25.
