One Year Of Ek Deewani Ki Deewaniyat: Sonam Bajwa calls it one of her most challenging films
Sonam Bajwa marked one year of her romantic drama Ek Deewani Ki Deewaniyat by reflecting on her experience of working on the film. Describing the project as one of the most challenging yet rewarding films of her career, the actress thanked audiences for their support and for contributing to its success.
Taking to Instagram to commemorate the milestone, Sonam shared a series of pictures featuring her co-star Harshvardhan Rane and director Milap Zaveri. Alongside the photographs, she penned a note expressing her gratitude to everyone who embraced the film.
“One year of ek deewani ki DEEWANIYAT. One of the most challenging films for me, but also one of the most rewarding. Thank you all for embracing this film with so much love and making it such a success. Forever grateful!” she wrote.
Directed by Milap Zaveri and written by Zaveri and Mushtaq Shiekh, Ek Deewani Ki Deewaniyat featured Sonam Bajwa and Harshvardhan Rane in the lead roles. The romantic drama explored the darker side of love, tracing how a passionate relationship could turn into a complicated and emotionally charged experience.
The film followed a powerful politician who fell in love with a strong-willed superstar. What began as a romance gradually developed into a dangerous dynamic shaped by obsession, pride and heartbreak. The film went on to become the 12th highest-grossing Hindi film of 2025.
Following her appearance in Ek Deewani Ki Deewaniyat, Sonam was seen in Border 2, a war drama co-written and directed by Anurag Singh. The film served as a sequel to J. P. Dutta's 1997 film Border and was set against the backdrop of the 1971 India-Pakistan war.
Headlined by Sunny Deol, Border 2 also featured Varun Dhawan, Diljit Dosanjh and Ahan Shetty, alongside Mona Singh, Sonam Bajwa, Medha Rana and Anya Singh in pivotal roles. Its narrative drew from five major military engagements and operations associated with the 1971 war, including the Battle of Manawar Tawi, the Battle of Basantar, the air defence of Srinagar, the naval engagement involving INS Khukri and the enemy air strikes under Operation Chengiz Khan.
