Nidhi Dutta balances baby bump and battle scenes while producing Border 2

Producer Nidhi Dutta, currently in the final trimester of her pregnancy, continues to stay closely involved in the making of Border 2. Teaming up with T-Series’ Bhushan Kumar, she is working on the sequel to her father JP Dutta’s acclaimed war film. The film is currently in its third shoot schedule in Pune, with Nidhi attending key production meetings and remaining active on set.

Whether it’s creative discussions or logistical planning, Nidhi has been present through it all, ensuring every aspect of the film lives up to the legacy of the original.

 

In her words, Nidhi shared, “This film is a dream I’ve seen with my father, and there’s no greater joy than seeing it come alive—even if that means juggling production schedules with baby kicks! My team has been incredibly supportive, and this journey feels even more special with two heartbeats invested in it. I’m due anytime soon so looks like I’ll be going into delivery straight from the sets”

 

With Border 2 shaping up as one of the biggest releases slated for 2026, Nidhi Dutta’s continued involvement throughout the production—despite personal milestones—underscores her unwavering dedication and deep-rooted passion for the project. Her hands-on approach highlights a clear intent to honour her father JP Dutta’s legacy while bringing a fresh vision to the much-anticipated sequel.
