“Manoj Bajpayee sets the bar so high in Ek Bandaa Kaafi Hai,” says Shekhar Kapur; applauds Apoorv Karki directorial
The recent release of the film Sirf Ek Bandaa Kaafi Hai on Zee5, starring Padma Shri and National Award recipient Manoj Bajpayee, has been making waves in the cinematic world. The film has garnered a positive response from audiences and critics alike. Renowned filmmaker Shekhar Kapur recently joined the chorus of praise for the film and Bajpayee's exceptional portrayal.
In a tweet on Thursday, Kapur described the performance as a "master class in acting," highlighting Bajpayee's ability to deliver a sensitive, honest, and completely authentic performance. Kapur expressed his captivation, emphasising how every line spoken by Bajpayee in this compelling courtroom drama had him gripped. He also congratulated director Apoorv Karki and the team at Zee5 for their remarkable work.
Responding to Shekhar Kapur’s review, Bajpayee wrote, “OMG! Now I can put my feet up for sometime and relax after this praise by one and only our respected @shekharkapur sir! Thank you ???? Thank You,” in a tweet.
Directed by Apoorv Singh Karki, Sirf Ek Bandaa Kaafi Hai is jointly produced by Vinod Bhanushali's Bhanushali Studios Limited, Zee Studios, and Suparn S Varma. The film showcases the skilful storytelling and meticulous craftsmanship that these production houses are known for, resulting in a thought-provoking and engaging cinematic experience. This courtroom drama revolves around the journey of an ordinary high court lawyer who takes on an extraordinary case involving the rape of a minor under the Protection of Children from Sexual Offences (POCSO) Act.
With Manoj Bajpayee's commanding presence and the gripping narrative, Sirf Ek Bandaa Kaafi Hai has struck a chord with audiences. It started premiering on the OTT platform from May 23 onwards.
