On Friday, Katrina took to her Instagram stories to share a picture of a sweet dish prepared by her as part of the post wedding ritual of ‘Chaunka Chardhana’. The Punjabi ritual entails the newly wed bride preparing a sweet dish for her in-laws. Katrina made suji halwa for the ceremony and posted the picture of the dish on her Instagram stories. "Maine banaya. Chaunka Chardhana," she captioned the picture.

Vicky Kaushal, too, shared a picture of the halwa in his Instagram stories and complimented his wife. "Best Halwa Ever," he wrote.

The couple had a very intimate wedding in the presence of their family and friends. Owing to the COVID-19 protocol, they could not invite everyone to join them in their celebrations. Vicky and Katrina sent out sweets to all those whom they could not invite for the wedding along with thoughtful handwritten notes. The couple might hold a wedding reception in Mumbai for members of the film industry on a later date.
