Amid much anticipation, makers unveiled the trailer of Sky Force on January 5. The film portrays the immense danger that keeps looming around the life of air force officers and its impact on their families. Starring Akshay Kumar, Sara Ali Khan, Nimrit Kaur, and marking the debut of Veer Pahariya, the film’s trailer received much love from fans and industry insiders. Now cheering for them is none other than filmmaker and Dharma Productions’ head honcho Karan Johar.

After the trailer was unveiled on Sunday amid much fanfare, Karan Johar, later took to his Instagram story to share his thoughts on the same. He only had words of appreciation as he couldn’t stop gushing about the trailer, appreciating it for being impactful. He reposted the trailer clip on his story and captioned it saying, “Scale, patriotism & huge emotional impact! SKYFORCE releasing worldwide Jan 24! A massive theatrical experience.” He went on add, “Congratulations to the entire team” and also tagged the cast and crew.

 

 

About Sky Force

 

With Akshay Kumar and Veer Pahariya playing the roles of air force officers, the film features an ensemble cast starring Nimrit Kaur as Kumar’s wife, Sara Ali Khan as Veer’s wife, and many others. The film is based India's retaliatory attack on the Sargodha airbase of Pakistan in the Indo-Pakistan air war of 1965, described as India's first and deadliest airstrike. Although based on true events, Sky Force is expected to be fictionalized certain aspects.

 

Directed by Sandeep Kewlani and Abhishek Anil Kapoor, the movie is produced by Jio Studios, Maddock Films, Leo Films UK Production and it is slated to release on January 24 ahead of India’s Republic Day.
