Jeetendra, Prem Chopra and other film fraternity friends celebrate Rakesh Roshan’s birthday in the sweetest way

From an actor to a filmmaker, Rakesh Roshan has remained to be one of the most respected stars in Bollywood even today. The actor, who has shared screen space with some of the biggest stars in the 70s, made his debut with Ghar Ghar Ki Kahaani in 1970 and has played supporting roles as well as also directed many films. Considering that the actor shares a great rapport with his peers as well as many others within the industry, when he turned 74 recently, his entire gang of friends decided to ring in his special day together, including Jeetendra and Prem Chopra.

In a recent video posted by Rakesh Roshan, he gushed about half a decade long friendship he shares with Jeetendra and the others who were present at the birthday celebrations. They also planned a special cake cutting ceremony for the actor-turned-filmmaker. He shared the video on Instagram with a caption that read, “50yrs friendship (very rare) thankyou Jeetu & friends for bringing in my birthday. Gratitude”. Earlier today, his former daughter-in-law Sussanne Khan also sent her heartfelt birthday wishes on social media. Furthermore, discussing about his birthday plans exclusively with Bollywood Hungama, Rakesh Roshan had said, "There won’t be any plans as such. There’ll be a family get-together. I always do that on my birthday."

 

Rakesh Roshan, who started off his career with supporting roles, featured as the leading man in films like Khoobsurat and Paraya Dhan. He is also known for directing films like Khoon Bhari Maang, Karan Arjun, among others and later, he earned immense fame with Koi Mil Gaya which has now turned into India’s only superhero film franchise Krrish.
