Jawan success press conference: Atlee calls Jawan his love letter to Shah Rukh Khan

Directed by Atlee, Jawan stars Shah Rukh Khan and Vijay Sethupathi. Released a week ago, Shah Rukh Khan’s second release of this year, Jawan, continues to perform exceptionally well at the box office. Amid this, the Jawan team held a press conference today, that is September 15. During the event, the Tamil filmmaker Atlee Kumar, who made his debut in Hindi cinema through Jawan, went on to express his admiration for the Bollywood superstar.

During the fun interactive session, the director was asked to describe the Shah Rukh Khan starrer. In his response, he said that if he had to describe Jawan, he would call it “a love letter of mine to Mr SRK”.

 

Initially planned for June 2 release, Jawan hit theatres last week, on September 7. Besides Shah Rukh, the Atlee directorial also featured Nayanthara and Vijay Sethupathi in pivotal roles. Meanwhile, Ridhi Dogra, Sanya Malhotra, Priyamani, and Sunil Grover played supporting characters. In addition, the film also featured Deepika Padukone and Sanjay Dutt in special cameos.

 

Khan also confirmed in the same press conference that his next film Dunki will indeed be releasing during Christmas on December 22. Directed by Rajkumar Hirani, the light-hearted movie will also star Taapsee Pannu in a pivotal role.
