Hrithik Roshan calls Saba Azad starrer Songs of Paradise ‘heart-wrenching’: “Every actor needs to see your performance in this one”
It was only a few days ago that it was reported that actress Saba Azad starrer Songs of Paradise, a Kashmir-set music film, found a producer in Farhan Akhtar – Ritesh Sidhwani’s studio Excel Entertainment. The film is directed by Danish Renzu.
Celebrating it, Saba Azad took to social media to acknowledge the new update and wrote, “In other news… #songsofparadise @danishrenzu @excelmovies @shafatqazi." Reacting to her post, Hrithik Roshan, her boyfriend, left a comment which read, “Every actor needs to see your performance in this one. Heart-wrenching (broken heart emoji). One of the best I have ever seen (red heart emoji) ever!” Saba reacted in the comments, “@hrithikroshan Heyyyyyy (flushed face, slightly smiling face and smiling face with tear emojis).”
As per Variety, the film is set against the backdrop of Kashmir, and portrays the tale of Radio Kashmir's pioneering songstress. Delving into the resonant melodies inspired by Raj Begum (1927-2016), the film delves into her ascent as the first female vocalist in a patriarchal era. It amplifies the struggles and triumphs of women grappling with constrained rights. The film also stars Soni Razdan, Zain Khan Durrani, Taaruk Raina, Sheebha Chaddha, Shishir Sharma and Lillette Dubey.
Currently in post-production, the film is being produced by Farhan Akhtar, Ritesh Sidhwani, Shafat Qazi, Danish Renzu and Kassim Jagmagia.
