Interestingly, Sr. Bachchan was asked if enjoyed playing what was written for him in Jhund, he briefly explained that he did what director Nagraj Manjule asked him to do. Meanwhile, talking about his co-star in the film, he said, “If you are paying compliments to any actor then please pay compliments to the actor that has been in front of them.”

As the Don actor continued and said that he learnt to be natural with slum kids he worked with. On the same, he recalled an incident and asserted, “There was a scene where the kids got teary-eyed. One of the kids walked to me and asked - how to cry. It’s very painful. A child has reached such an extent that he has never cried in his life.

He then elaborated, “And it comes from somebody right from the heart because probably his circumstances and the way he lived and the atmosphere that he grew up in it was so harsh that maybe he was beyond crying or he never relied on or took some kind of relief from the fact that by crying he can get away.”

As he concluded the incident, he said, “The other harsh reality is that what is crying is going to get me, so I've never cried because I never got anything. It was such a beautiful moment for me, and it stayed with me for a very long time.”
