Governor trailer launch: Vipul Amrutlal Shah shares FASCINATING details about Samuk: “We have not had an alien-predator film in Indian cinema... Akshay Kumar and I have NEVER repeated genres”

Manoj Bajpayee, Adah Sharma, Madhoo, Vipul Amrutlal Shah, Chinmay Mandlekar and Aashin Shah attended the trailer launch of their film Governor in Mumbai. 2 days back, Akshay Kumar fans were in for an excitement as news came in that he'll be a part of an alien-based film named Samuk. Vipul Amrutlal Shah will be producing it and this writer asked the veteran producer about it at the launch.

Vipul Amrutlal Shah said, “I'll just briefly say that we are coming back after working on six films. Akshay and I have tried to never repeat our genres. We have chosen genres which are different from our last film, whether it's Aankhen (2002), Waqt (2005), Namastey London (2007), Singh Is Kinng (2008), Action Replayy (2010) and Holiday (2014). And now we are working together for the seventh time.”

Vipul continued, “We are bringing a new genre to Indian cinema. We have not had an alien-predator film. This film will be directed by Kanishk Verma and comprises some of the best Hollywood technicians. It's a big action film that we are mounting. Hence, we are very excited about it.”

He also added, “Having said that, at this point, I am not able to see beyond June 12 at this time, when Governor will release.”
