Governor trailer launch: Manoj Bajpayee reveals Madhoo’s hilarious complaint after Ram Gopal Varma called him “such a fun guy”; also reveals RGV’s unusual praise for Governor: “You guys have f***** it!”

Manoj Bajpayee, Adah Sharma, Madhoo, Vipul Amrutlal Shah, Chinmay Mandlekar and Aashin Shah attended the trailer launch of their film Governor in Mumbai. Manoj is known not just for his supreme acting talent but also for his jovial nature. However, since he was playing a serious no-nonsense character in Governor, he decided to tone down on cracking jokes during the shoot. Manoj spoke about it and raised laughs.

Manoj Bajpayee said, “For many, it was difficult to see Manoj Bajpayee keeping to himself and not interacting too much. I’ll share a very hilarious incident. After this film, I went and shot for Ram Gopal Varma’s film, Police Station Mein Bhoot. In that film, my character is 180 degrees opposite to what I play in Governor.”

 

He continued, “Now, Ramya (Ram Gopal Varma) and Madhoo happen to be very good buddies. One day, Madhoo called me up and told me, ‘Manoj ji, what is this? Ramya told me that you’re such a fun guy. You have not shown that side to me. Why were you so serious?’. I replied, ‘Madhoo, I was playing the governor, A Ramanan, while I played a wacko, wild guy in Ramu’s film. Definitely the mind and the mood were completely different on that set’. She always felt that I was a very serious guy (laughs). Anybody who knows me personally would completely disagree that I am not serious.”

 

Later, Manoj revealed, “I had shown the trailer to Mr Ram Gopal Varma last night when I was shooting with him. He said one line and I will not complete that sentence. You will get to know. He said, ‘You guys have f***** it (laughs)’.”

 

Manoj Bajpayee also shared his views on the Ranveer Singh-Don 3 row, “I must tell you one thing that all the people who are in this industry are only reading about it on social media. We don’t have the detailed information about it. All we can say as colleagues or fellow fraternity members is that we hope the matter is sorted out soon.”

 

Governor releases in cinemas on June 12.
