EXCLUSIVE: Taran Adarsh wants Salman Khan to work with S.S. Rajamouli and Rohit Shetty; he says, “Salman can really move things but the thing is ‘yahan aadmi baad mein aate hain, pehle yahan egos aate hain’”

Salman Khan, who was last seen in the Eid release Kisi Ka Bhai Kisi Ki Jaan, was expected to make audiences return to theatres in hoards. However, the film failed to re-establish the immense star power of Khan. Even though the film managed to cross the Rs. 100 crore club, the expectations attached to the film failed to materialize. In an exclusive conversation with Bollywood Hungama, Taran Adarsh asserts that Salman needs to work with better directors to retain his star power.

In this interview, Taran Adarsh also told Bollywood Hungama that filmmakers need to showcase a different and sensitive side of Salman Khan that is more genuine to his true self. Taran said, “He has a very sensitive side. I don't know why producers don't tackle that and put it onscreen. In real life, he's genuinely a very good soul and that's something that we can easily translate on screen. It should not be difficult because he must just act what he is.

 

Salman Khan has previously showcased sensitivity in his characters in films like Sultan and Bajrangi Bhaijaan. Referring to it, Taran added, “Aisa bhi nahi hai ki he can't do it. Now he can pick and choose his directors. I would want him to work with directors like Rajamouli and Rohit Shetty, and any other biggest of directors.”

 

 

While we wondered if such a collaboration can happen in the near future, Taran Adarsh went on to add, “He can really move things but the thing is 'aadmi yahan baad mein aate hain but pehle yahan egos aate hain. And humare yahan elephantine egos hote hain. Here, people work with directors who are at par and who can do justice to your talent that's more important. I genuinely feel Salman needs to work with better directors.”
