EXCLUSIVE: Sunny Singh on his bond with Kartik Aaryan, “Whenever we see each other, we just put everything aside and sit together”

Sunny Singh, whose film The Bhootnii is releasing on April 18, 2025, recently spoke in an exclusive interview on Lights, Camera, Podcast with Rohit Khilnani for Bollywood Hungama.

 

EXCLUSIVE: Sunny Singh on his bond with Kartik Aaryan, “Whenever we see each other, we just put everything aside and sit together”

 

He opened up about his close friendships in the industry, with a special mention of his camaraderie with Kartik Aaryan. The two actors, who shared screen space in the films Pyaar Ka Punchnama and Sonu Ke Titu Ki Sweety, continue to maintain a warm bond off-screen.

 

“Kartik is, again, the same thing. Whenever we see each other somewhere, we just put everything aside and sit together,” Sunny shared. Reflecting on their earlier days, he recalled, “We used to go to the gym together for like three or four years. I left that gym just last year. So, whenever he’s coming there, I see him and I say, ‘Let’s do this later, come first, let’s have tea or coffee, then we’ll go inside.’”

 

Sunny admitted that while they may not constantly check in on each other, the bond remains strong. “That bond has always been there, but you know, we can’t always keep checking in with each other because everybody is busy,” he said.

 

Sunny also spoke fondly about filmmaker Luv Ranjan, who he considers more than just a friend. “My closest is Luv Ranjan sir, because he is not just a friend, he is like a big brother, he is family,” Sunny said warmly. Despite hectic schedules, Luv Ranjan always makes time for him. “Even if he’s travelling, he picks up my call every time, even at night. He’ll say, ‘Tell me, was it urgent? What happened?’ He always has time for me,” said Sunny.

 

The actor further mentioned about his bond with his other industry friends like Nushrratt Bharuccha, Patralekhaa and Rajkummar Rao. “Whenever we meet, we have fun, we party,” he shared.
