BREAKING: Akshay Kumar's retro look in Reema Kagti's Gold is intriguing

Earlier this week, Akshay Kumar headed to London to begin shooting for his next film, Gold. The film went on floors on Saturday, July 1. Filmmaker Zoya Akhtar shared a photograph of the clapboard from their mahurat shot.

 

Now, we have the first look of Akshay Kumar's look and it is very impressive. The black and white photo shows Akshay donning a checkered pant and vest with a white shirt. A clean shaven look with a thin moustache, side-parted hair and lots of bags can be seen in his first appearance.

 

Gold marks the debut of TV actress Mouni Roy in films. It is a sports drama based on India’s first Olympic Gold medal win in hockey as a free country at 1948 London Olympics. The film also stars Amit Sadh and Kunal Kapoor in pivotal roles. It is produced by Farhan Akhtar and Ritesh Sidhwani’s Excel Movies and is directed by Reema Kagti.

 

Gold marks to be the first collaboration between Akshay Kumar and Excel Entertainment which is slated to be a Independence Day 2018 release.
