Bhediya Trailer Launch: Varun Dhawan says he didn’t sleep the night before his debut film Student Of The Year release: “Prayed in the temple with my mom”

It’s been 10 years since Varun Dhawan forayed into movies. The actor made his debut in Karan Johar’s Student Of The Year 2012 along with Alia Bhatt and Sidharth Malhotra. Today, the actor celebrates his decade in the film industry. Interestingly, it was also the trailer launch for his upcoming film, Bhediya. While interacting with media on Wednesday, the actor recalled how he couldn’t sleep the night before his debut film’s release.

“I didn't sleep that night. My father (David Dhawan) woke up before anyone else. I did a little prayer in the temple with my mom. My mom used to tell me so many things. There were a lot of butterflies in my stomach. On the occasion of Varun Dhawan's 10th year in Bollywood, Jio Studios and Dinesh Vijan unveiled Bhediya's much awaited trailer in Hindi, Telugu and Tamil. Set in the mesmerising forests of Arunachal, the Varun Dhawan-Kriti Sanon starrer tells the story of Bhaskar, a man who gets bitten by a mythical wolf, and begins to transform into the creature himself. As Bhaskar and his ragtag buddies try to find answers, a bunch of twists, turns and laughs ensue.

 

Bhediya marks Varun and Dinesh Vijan's reunion after Badlapur. It is also Amar Kaushik’s third directorial venture with Jio Studios and Maddock Films following the success of Stree and Bala.

 

Jio Studios & Dinesh Vijan present, Bhediya. A Maddock Films production, directed by Amar Kaushik, produced by Dinesh Vijan and starring Varun Dhawan, Kriti Sanon, Deepak Dobriyal and Abhishek Banerjee among others, is releasing in cinemas Pan-India in Hindi, Telugu and Tamil in 2D and 3D on November 25, 2022.
