Bhavna Talwar’s Valmiki Ramayana first look and release date out
Valmiki Ramayana, a theatrical retelling of the ancient Hindu epic, was announced today with its first-look poster on the occasion of Ram Navami. The film brings together a group of respected artists across key creative departments.
The team includes cinematographer Binod Pradhan, production designer Sabu Cyril, Oscar-winning sound designer Resul Pookutty, writers Anand Neelkanthan, and Dr. Chandraprakash Dwivedi of the classic Doordarshan series Chanakya fame, contributing to the film. The film is directed by Bhavna Talwar.
The first-look poster features the feet of Lord Ram — a quiet symbol of humility, faith, and reverence. The imagery reflects a simple, devotional approach to the story.
The film is the fourth directorial for Talwar after Dharm (2007), Heidi: Queen Of The Mountain (2017) and Happi (2019).
Valmiki Ramayana is slated for a theatrical release on October 2, 2026 on the occasion of Gandhi Jayanti.
