Bengali TV actress Pallavi Dey passes away

Popular Bengali TV actress Pallavi Dey passed away early this morning. The actress was found hanging at her residence situated in the Garfa area of Kolkata on Sunday morning. Reports suggest that the Bengal police immediately jumped into the case because it was an unnatural death and started their investigation a day ago.

If these reports have to be believed, the police have claimed the reason to be suicide after their preliminary investigation. A post mortem is expected to be conducted on her body since she was found hanging from a ceiling fan at her residence. While the police have submitted the results of their initial investigations, parents of the actress have allegedly stated their suspicion of foul play. However no further details of her death have been revealed.

 

The actress was in a live-in relationship with boyfriend Shagnik Chakraborthy. Reports have it that the girl’s parents refuse to believe that she committed suicide. Considering the circumstances, her boyfriend Shagnik too was investigated in the case but as of now, the police have maintained that the case is nothing more than a suicide.

 

On the other hand, Shagnik’s mother had spoken to Times Of India, wherein she did agree to the fact that they were in a live-in but also added that she is not aware of any major problems between the couple. In fact, one of the crewmembers who is working with the actress on the ongoing show Mon Mane Na also spoke to them where they added that she shot with her only two days ago and that nothing seemed off about her.

 

After featuring in popular shows like Ami Sirajer Begum and Resham Jhanpi, the actress was appreciated for her role in Mon Mane Na.
