Moved by the outpouring of affection, Abhishek's father, Amitabh Bachchan took to his own social media handle to express his sentiments. He penned a heratfelt message for his son, lauding Abhishek. Abhishek Bachchan was last seen in Ghoomer. It was a sports drama directed by R Balki. The film centred around the journey of a physically challenged woman, portrayed by Saiyami Kher, who emerges as a star bowler for the Indian cricket team under the guidance of her coach, played by Abhishek Bachchan. Alongside Abhishek and Saiyami, the movie also starred Shabana Azmi and Angad Bedi in pivotal roles.
