Abhishek Bachchan is stepping into one of Indian history's most formidable legacies. The actor took to his social media to share the first look teaser of his upcoming film Raja Shivaji, in which he plays Sambhaji Shahaji Raje Bhosle, the fearless warrior son of Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj and a figure whose story has long deserved the full weight of cinematic telling. The teaser announcement marks one of the most anticipated reveals in recent times.

Sharing the teaser on his social media, Abhishek penned, “ज्या मातीने घडवलं त्या मातृभूमीसाठी रयतेने दाखवलेल्या विश्वासासाठी, आणि ज्याचं अहोरात्र स्वप्न पाहिलं त्या स्वराज्यासाठी! 🔥 इतिहासाचा सर्वात तेजस्वी अध्याय आता उलगडणार... भारताचे आराध्य दैवत छत्रपती शिवाजी महाराज यांना वंदन करून सादर करत आहोत "राजा शिवाजी" चित्रपटाचा फर्स्ट लूक टीज़र !! Raja Shivaji is set to release on May 1, 2026, in Marathi, Hindi, and Telugu, a multilingual release that signals the film's ambitions well beyond a single audience or demographic.
