The Gippy Grewal – Sonam Bajwa starrer Carry On Jatta 3 directed by Smeep Kang hit screens yesterday. A third film in the franchise, COJ3 has opened with a bang. In fact, as per reports, the film has taken a record breaking start in both the domestic and international markets.

In this box office report we look at the opening day collections of Carry On Jatta 3 while comparing the same to previous Punjabi releases. Collecting a staggering Rs. 4.50 cr. at the Indian box office, the film has emerged as the all-time highest opening day grosser. When compared to previous releases Punjabi releases like Honsla Rakh which collected Rs. 2.55 cr, Shadaa which collected Rs. 2.40 cr, Carry On Jatta 2 which collected Rs. 2.37 cr, Sardarji 2 which collected Rs. 2.25 cr, Sardarji which collected Rs. 2.20 cr, Saunkan Saunke which collected Rs. 2.20 cr. and Manje Bistre which collected Rs. 2.10 cr, Carry On Jatta 3 has managed to overshadow their business.

 

While Carry On Jatta 3 has been doing brisk business within the domestic market, in the overseas markets as well the film has been enjoying an upward business trend. Given the audience acceptance of the film, trade predictions claim that the business of COJ3 is likely to see further growth as the days progress.
