KGF – Chapter 2 Box Office: Film becomes the 2nd highest second weekend Hindi dubbed grosser
The much talked about and keenly anticipated film KGF – Chapter 2 was released over a week ago to a thunderous response from the audience. After a stellar opening day, the film enjoyed a massive opening weekend and first week managing to cross not just the Rs. 100 cr but also the Rs. 200 cr mark. Now on its second weekend running KGF 2 has crossed the Rs. 300 cr mark as well.
In this box office report, we look at the second-weekend collections of KGF – Chapter 2 while comparing the same to previously released Hindi dubbed film. Collecting Rs. 52.49 cr KGF – Chapter 2 ranks as the second-highest second weekend grosser among Hindi dubbed releases. While the film does not manage to surpass the second-weekend collections of Baahubali 2 – The Conclusion which collected Rs. 80.75 cr, it does surpass other releases like RRR which collected Rs. 52 cr, 2.0 which collected Rs. 27 cr, Saaho which collected Rs. 14.95 cr, Bahubali – The Beginning which collected Rs. 13.35 cr and Pushpa: The Rise which collected Rs. 10.31 cr.
Currently, KGF – Chapter 2 continues to run to packed houses across the board, with the film’s business hardly being affected by the new release, Jersey. In fact, trade predictions state that the business of KGF 2 will remain stable in its second week, and might even near the Rs. 350 cr mark.
