The Kashmir Files Box Office: The film beats Aamir Khan starrer Dangal; becomes the all-time second highest second Friday grosser
The Anupam Kher starrer The Kashmir Files released a week ago on Friday and since then there has been no stopping the film. After opening on a modest note, the business of VivekAgnihotri directorial that saw exponential growth on weekdays has continued its winning streak on its second weekend as well.
In this box office report, we take a look at the second Friday collections of The Kashmir Files while comparing the same to previous releases. Collecting a staggering Rs. 19.15cr, the film has managed to surpass the collections of the Aamir Khan starrer Dangal that collected Rs. 18.59cr, PK that collected Rs. 14.48cr, Sanju that collected Rs. 12.90cr, the Salman Khan starrer Bajrangi Bhaijaan that collected Rs. 12.8cr, Bajirao Mastani that collected Rs. 12.25cr, Kabir Singh that collected Rs. 12.21cr, and even 3 Idiots that had collected Rs. 11.71 cr.
Prabhas starrer Baahubali 2 – The Conclusion, that had collected Rs. 19.75 cr, still remains the highest all-time second Friday grosser.
If that wasn’t enough, The Kashmir Files still continues to run to packed houses across the country, going by this trend and the fact that the film still enjoys a massive booking spate, it is estimated that the business will continue to grow. In fact, trade predictions sate that The Kashmir Files could well see its box office collections going past the Rs. 120 cr mark by the second weekend.
