Box Office - Tu Jhoothi Main Makkaar has best collections amongst all films on Friday, set for a decent weekend

Amidst a plethora of new releases which arrived this Friday, it’s Tu Jhoothi Main Makkaar which has seen the best collections of them all despite being in the second week. The film has found an audience at the major urban centres and this is where it will continue to collect. That said, last Friday the film had brought in Rs 10.52 crores so in comparison to that, Rs 3.75 crores is a major drop. Ideally, the numbers should have stayed in Rs 4.25-4.50 crores zone at least.

Nonetheless, the film is having a fair run overall and one has to take what comes your way. Hence, the fact that the Ranbir Kapoor and Shraddha Kapoor starrer is still at least standing in there is good in some way because it lends itself a platform to grow from here. Though there isn’t a major biggie in front of it, the competition will grow due to Shazam! Fury of the Gods and Mrs. Chatterjee vs Norway finding appreciation. As a result, it would need to grow well on Saturday to stay ahead of these films right through the second week as well.

 

That should happen too since the Luv Ranjan film still has the most count of screens and shows dedicated to it, which means growth can easily come. As long as the second weekend brings in at least Rs 16-17 crores, it would be an overall decent enough run for Tu Jhoothi Main Makkaar, which has collected Rs 96.19 crores* so far.
