Truth behind APBKDH postponement:

It's a known fact that film-makers are a superstitious lot. From planning the mahurats to releasing their films, everything is done keeping the 'right time' in mind. Here's another example of how superstitions rule the industry. Anubhav Sinha, who has postponed the release of his latest film AAPKO PEHLE BHI KAHIN DEKHA HAI from December to January 10, was initially planning to release his film on January 3, but when his distributors got to know of the release date, they promptly advised him against releasing the film in the first week of January since, of late, the first release of every new year has flopped at the box-office. In fact, this point was highlighted by this writer a couple of years ago, which has been imprinted in every distributor and exhibitor's memory. That explains why almost 7 films are scheduled for release in the second week of January, but no big film in the first week.
