Apparently, after acquiring the clearance by the Indian Central Board of Film Certification, the film was submitted to the Censor Board of Pakistan for
censorship. However, the application was rejected as the film was deemed unsuitable for theatrical release in Pakistan. The reason for this was cited that
the Board felt The Dirty Picture was inappropriate for viewership in Pakistan due to its bold and controversial content.
