Shyam Benegal casts Neetu Chandra in his next

Neetu Chandra is one actor who has been in the news, for both right and the wrong reasons of late. After having done films like Oye Lucky! Lucky Oye, Rann, 13 B, Traffic Signal, No Problem and others, she is in the news yet again, but this time for the right reason. Bollywood Hungama has learnt that the actress has been cast in a modest role in a film that's being made by the veteran filmmaker Shyam Benegal. It seems that Neetu is someone who likes to play it safe as she doesn't deny being cast in Shyam's film; she is waiting for the director and producer to make the formal announcement. Since her role in the film is that of a demure desi girl, this damsel has been spending months in getting her looks right for the film.

On the other hand, Neetu is now all set for the release of her first Bhojpuri production titled Deswa, which has been directed by her brother Nitin. The icing on the cake happens to be her item number in this film, which has been choreographed by Ganesh Acharya.
