Ranbir Kapoor's Roy to feature song titled 'Ask Me'

Today in-film branding has become the easiest way to promote a product or brand. Every highly anticipated film starring big names have in-film branding deals. And now we hear that taking it a step further will be Ranbir Kapoor's upcoming film Roy.

 

In fact it is learnt that the film will feature a track titled 'Ask Me', a brand that Ranbir Kapoor has been endorsing as its ambassador for a while now. Manav Sethi, Group Marketing Head, Getitinfomedia confirmed the same saying, "Yes, we have tied up with T-Series for Roy, wherein they will shoot a song with Ask Me very subtly yet tightly integrated in the track."

Further adding he said, "Ranbir already being the brand ambassador for Ask Me will definitely amplify the visibility of the brand with this song, not forgetting T-Series that has the widest distribution possible. Besides this, there is also a joint marketing strategy that has been planned for the same."

 

Interestingly, we also hear that the said track has been included in the film at the price of a whopping Rs.10 crores. When we quizzed Manav on the amount and whether Ask Me as a brand would look at co-producing the film, he said, "I cannot comment on the amount being paid. As for co-producing the film, we have not ruled out that option yet."

 

Roy that features Ranbir Kapoor, Jacqueline Fernandez and Arjun Rampal and is directed by Vikramjit Singh is slated for release in February next year.
