Meghna pens Gulzar's biography

Meghna Gulzar, the lady who directed the sensitive and sensible film Filhaal (2002), is coming out with a biographical book on her writer, director and lyricist father, Gulzar. In the book titled Because He Is, Meghna has attempted to explore the private and public life of her father though she claims that the focus is more on his personal aspect. The book is inundated with rare photographs from golden moments of Gulzar's life. It took five months for Meghna to write the book and the original source was Gulzar himself. The book will be launched in the Crossword book store at Mahalaxmi in Mumbai on Saturday, Dec 13, which happens to be Meghna's birthday as well.
