Karisma Kapoor - Sanjay Kapur agree to amicable divorce

Earlier we had reported that actress Karisma Kapoor had withdrawn her consent to an amicable divorce with her estranged husband Sanjay Kapur following issues in the financial settlement that was being offered. However, now we hear that the duo have agreed to an amicable divorce post a hearing at the Supreme Court.

 

As per reports Karisma and her businessman husband Sunjay have signed the "consent agreement" in which she was given the full-time custody of their two children and the man was given adequate visitation rights over them. The 'consent terms' was submitted before the Supreme Court, which has signed off on their settlement, while a petition for divorce has been filed with the Family Court that will come up for hearing on June 30.

As per the running in the Supreme Court, it has been agreed that the divorce petition filed by Sanjay at a court in Mumbai will now be converted into divorce plea by mutual consent, while Karisma will withdraw the case filed against him under the Protection from Domestic Violence Act in two weeks in view of the settlement.

 

The couple, who married in 2003, have a daughter and a son.
