Kabir Khan and Eros to journey to China

Over the years Kabir Khan has become synonyms for directing films that not just entertain but also enthrall the audience. Well, now we hear that Kabir along with the mega production house Eros international is all set to journey to China. In fact Eros' first Indo-China co-production is set to roll with Kabir Khan as the director featuring a Bollywood A-lister and a Chinese actress as the leading pair.

Said to be a human drama, the film will feature the character travelling from India to China. However, apart from the physical journey we hear that the characters will also feature a change in their attitude and perception. Though the yet untitled film is currently in the scripting stage the film will be a coproduced by Eros International and a Chinese production house.

 

But what's interesting is that while the Chinese market is rather restricted with about 20 Hollywood films and 5 Bollywood films releasing per year, this venture will release like a local film enjoying preferential treatment. Apart from this, it is learnt that representatives of Eros who had accompanied Prime Minister Narendra Modi to China during his official visit had signed agreements with three of the biggest filmmaking groups there. While this venture will be the first Eros' Chinese counterparts have already approved another script.

 

As for the Chinese market, spread across 25,000 screens which is five times more than any major Hindi release in India continues to grow at an exponential rate.
