Jackie, Govinda come under FDA scanner

If you've surfed through your TV channels late in the night, you surely must have seen the likes of Jackie Shroff and Govinda speaking to a packed auditorium explaining the benefits of Sandhi Sudha herbal oil. Now this very endorsement seems to have landed the duo in trouble as the Food and Drug Administration (FDA) has decided to take strict action against the promoters of these products, actors who endorse them and TV channels which air these promotional ads.

 

The FDA has come to a conclusion that most of these claims made by such companies are false and end up duping innocent consumers. Hence it has filed police complaints across various police stations in Maharashtra under various sections of the Drugs and Magic Remedies (Objectionable advertisements) Act 1955. Violation of the act attracts imprisonment for six months or a fine or both.Jackie, Govinda come under FDA scanner
