Hate Story 2 actress Surveen Chawla turns producer

After gaining popularity in Punjabi cinema, Surveen Chawla made a debut in Bollywood with the erotic thriller Hate Story 2 and the actress has now decided to shift focus to production. In fact, we hear that Surveen is planning on producing a Bollywood film which is to be directed by Ashwiny Iyer Tiwari.

Titled Nil, the film is said to be the debut directorial venture of Ashwiny Iyer Tiwari, wife of director Nitesh Tiwari who recently directed the Amitabh Bachchan starrer Bhoothnath Returns. Ashwiny has previously worked for Leo Burnett as Executive Creative Director.

 

Though the male lead of the film is yet to be finalized, it is also being said that the film will star Swara Bhaskar of Raanjhanaa fame in a prominent role.

 

Surveen has apparently started up with her own production house and the actress we believe has plans to produce many more films. Surveen Chawla gained popularity with the Indian tele-series 'Kahiin To Hoga' along with actress Aamna Shariff. The actress has also done a handful of Punjabi cinema like Taur Mittran Di, Lucky DI Unlucky Story, Singh vs. Kaur among others.
