Did YRF first offer Ek Tha Tiger to Shah Rukh Khan?

Yash Raj Films probably made one of the biggest announcements last week when they signed Salman Khan along with Katrina Kaif for Kabir Khan's directorial venture Ek Tha Tiger. The news was indeed big as it is the first time Salman is working with Yash Raj Films.

 

However, not many people know that the same film had earlier been offered to YRF favourite and Salman's rival Shah Rukh Khan who unfortunately couldn't take it up due to date issues. King Khan in a recent interview has confirmed the same and has said that he doesn't have any regrets that YRF have now gone ahead and signed Salman for the project. However, it remains to be seen if Sallu was aware of this fact before signing the project.Did YRF first offer Ek Tha Tiger to Shah Rukh Khan?
