The prestigious Academy of Arts will bestow an Honorary Doctorate on Mr.

Egypt. Mr. Bachchan will arrive in Cairo today on a chartered flight. Since he

 

had to attend a wedding in Goa, he has made arrangements on his own for

 

flying directly from there. Mr. Bachchan will be felicitated by Indian

 

and Egyptian dignitaries in two different functions tonight.

 

When the media contingent arrived in Cairo yesterday, they were greeted

 

by a song and dance routine. 'Ye dosti hum nahin chhodenge'

 

from Sholay started the proceedings and Egyptians erupted. Amitabh Bachchan will address a press conference tomorrow morning and will be the main attraction of an evening in front of the Pyramids tomorrow

 

March 31. A retrospective of Amitabh Bachchan movies will be the main

 

attraction from April 1-4. Amar Akbar Anthony, Paa, Agneepath,

 

Sholay and Anand will be the films that will be screened.
