A record-breaking night for Children’s Mercy Hospital
The annual Big Slick charity fundraiser became the stage for this historic moment. Rudd offered an exclusive Avengers: Doomsday premiere package that commanded a staggering final bid of $100,000.
The winning package included two tickets to the Los Angeles premiere of the upcoming Marvel blockbuster. It also granted access to the post-screening after-party and a rare chance to attend as Rudd’s personal guest.
Organizers confirmed that the $100,000 contribution marked the highest amount ever paid for an individual auction item in the event’s history. The victorious bidder was described as a longtime supporter who attends the Big Slick initiative annually and contributes regularly to the cause.
According to Times of India, footage from the event carried a caption that read, “Incredible amount of money raised for Children’s Mercy Hospital but this was WILD! $100K winning bid to attend Marvel’s Avengers: Doomsday premiere with Paul Rudd.” Every dollar from the sale is headed directly to Children’s Mercy Hospital.
The Russo brothers stoke excitement for Avengers: Doomsday
The charity auction arrived amid a surge of anticipation for the Marvel epic. Directors Anthony Russo and Joe Russo recently sent fans into a frenzy by sharing cryptic images inspired by Doctor Doom.
The images included a complete look at the flag of Latveria. In the comics, the fictional nation is ruled by the iconic villain portrayed by Robert Downey Jr., who is expected to play a central role in the film.
Marvel’s roadmap leads toward December
While audiences await the next glimpse of Avengers: Doomsday, Marvel is preparing another theatrical event. Avengers: Endgame will return to cinemas on 25 September 2026 with new footage designed to bridge the narrative gap to the upcoming sequel.
The rerelease is expected to connect the events of the blockbuster with the storyline of the new chapter. Avengers: Doomsday is scheduled to arrive in theatres on 18 December 2026.
