Taking to social media, Rishab posted a series of images from the prep days, captioned: “This was the moment I passed on the soul of our story when the character born on paper found life through my actors. Our first workshop was not just rehearsal—it was the beginning of breathing emotion into imagination. My love towards all my actors of Kantara tribe.” His words underline the importance of these sessions, which he describes as the emotional epicentre of the film. For Shetty, workshops are where characters gain flesh, voice, rhythm, and spiritual depth, ensuring that every actor becomes a living extension of the story’s soul.

Kantara: A Legend – Chapter 1 is a prequel to the 2022 blockbuster Kantara, that delved deeper into the origins of the traditions and ancestral conflicts introduced earlier. Set in pre-colonial coastal Karnataka, the film explored the ancient roots of the Buta Kola ritual, blending regional folklore, spirituality, and high-octane action. Produced by Vijay Kiragandur and Chaluve Gowda under the banner of Hombale Films, the epic featured Rishab Shetty alongside Jayaram, Rukmini Vasanth, and Gulshan Devaiah.
